Asparagus - Steamed


  • 1 bunch asparagus spears
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups water


  1. Place the water in the bottom half of a steamer pan set. Add salt and butter, and bring to a boil.

  2. Cut off the dry ends off the asparagus.

  3. Place them in the top half of the steamer. Steam for 5 minutes or until asparagus is tender.

  4. Toss the asparagus with a teaspoon of olive oil and little lemon zest. (Just the peel!)
